Let attendees pay you with Venmo.
Select Venmo under Event settings → Costs → Accepted payment methods, then enter your profile details in the Venmo section.
- Find your username in your Venmo profile. Enter it in the Venmo username field.
- The profile link is optional. When blank, Outing Golf uses https://venmo.com/ followed by your username without @. If you supply a link, use an official Venmo profile or receiving link for that same account.
- Add a short instruction, such as “Include your name and the event name.” A QR code is generated automatically from the profile link; you do not need to upload or paste an image.
- Check the attendee preview, then save changes. On a phone, attendees use Open Venmo. On desktop, they can scan the QR code with their phone camera to open that same link. This is a profile-link QR code, not Venmo’s in-app payment code.
- After payment, attendees return to their RSVP and select “I paid using a different method.” Check your Venmo receipt, then confirm payment in Event management → Payments.
Opening Venmo or scanning a code does not mark an attendee paid. Outing Golf does not move the money, connect to your Venmo account, verify its ownership, or automatically confirm receipt. Check the recipient and amount before paying.
Turn off Venmo under Accepted payment methods to hide it from attendees. Your saved Venmo details remain visible in settings for future use. Stripe and Other manual method can be selected alongside Venmo.
For event sales, use an account and payment type permitted by Venmo’s goods/services rules.
